The Persistent DyNAMICS Venture is designin, build, and demonstrating an architecture for dynamically persistent monitoring of nuclear processes through intelligently coordinated sensing, exploiting and demonstrating the mission relevance of sequences of proliferation activities. Many signatures of nuclear proliferation activities, such as tell-tale emissions, are subtle, fleeting, and rare. Therefore, it is sometimes assumed that detection of these signatures would require measuring everything, everywhere, all the time. With finite resources, however, this is not achievable. Instead, under Persistent DyNAMICS is building and demonstrating a capability to measure the right thing, in the right place, at the right time to identify nuclear proliferation activities.
